BLOCKS AND PATTERNS
Blocks now come in all shapes, sizes and finishes
The Traditional style blocks - often referred to as Herringbone Blocks - this is the style and method of fitting normally in a size about 230 long by 70 wide and 20mm thickness. Normally fitted unfinished and finished in situ by hand.
They can be finished in a variety of colours - white, grey, natural, black
The Amsterdam Look - is the Continental style that is now very popular on the market and they are fitted in Herringbone or Chevron and tend to be much bigger blocks. This makes a great impact
Size examples abt 500 x 70 x 20 but these sizes can vary in width, length and thickness. Always best to choose the colour and look you like then we can help you on the size to suit your home and give you a fixed fitted price
We also fit in lots of other types of patterns: double block, basket zig zag, end grain squares, circular panels and various other design. I am afraid that the choice is big! - let us help you
Can be solid oak or engineered oak blocks
You can decide to have a pure natural colour, warm honey tones or richer and darker shades; to bring out the grain in an engineered or solid sustainable oak floor. The Traditional style tends to be finished in your home. The Amsterdam blocks tend to be finished - so hardly any sanding or oiling in the house!
ATC can fit unfinished and then apply a colour, to suit your particular lighting and home, if this helps. Please note that the oil takes overnight to dry and this will mean that you will lose the room/s overnight
